Farrell Honts
Iowa City- Farrell Honts, 65, Iowa city, died there Friday following an extended illness.
Services were today at Iowa City with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Iowa City.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Donohue Lensing Funeral home.
Mr. Honts was born April 1, 1920, at Winfield, a son of Robert J. and Emma Codogan Honts. He was a resident here for many years, moving to Iowa City in 1958. He married Helen Becker, February 2, 1948, at Hardin, ILL. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and an Army Veteran of world war II.
He is survived by his wife; on son Dennis Honts, Iowa City; six daughters, Carolyn MacLern, Burlington; Marolyn Honts, Coralville; Vicki Mickle, Shelia Dolan, Debera Honts and Lisa Honts all of Iowa City; two sisters, Fern Yocom Muscatine and Hazel Lawson, Prophelstown, Ill; and eight grandchildren.
His parents and four brothers preceded him in death.
