Beverly Louese Klein was born August 13, 1938, in Iowa City, the daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Zinser) Shalla. She graduated from Iowa City High School in 1956, and received her nursing degree from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids. On June 8, 1968 she married Frank Joseph Klein Jr. in Iowa City. For over twenty years she worked at Medical Associates in Iowa City. Following this she worked along side of her husband with their business, Klein Trucking until their retirement in 2001. For a short time she drove school bus for the Clear Creek Schools, having the distinction as the first female driver they hired. Beverly enjoyed life, raising her four children, being involved in their lives not only at home but in school also. She was instrumental in the first alcohol free after prom party; you would see her volunteering at numerous school events throughout the years for her kids, supporting the high school wrestling program, and so many other things. She enjoyed traveling, camping, knitting, but since the birth of her grandchildren, they have been pride and joy. She supported her grandchildren in whatever they did, but especially as they pursued their musical talents.
Her family includes her husband, Frank "Ted" Klein, Jr.; children, Julie Music and her husband, Donald of Coralville, Dawn Klein of Coralville, Steve Klein, Matthew Klein and his wife, Jodi of Tiffin; grandchildren, Meredith Music, Andrea Klein, Patience Klein, Emily Klein and Elizabeth Klein; brother, Ronald Shalla of DeLand, Florida; and her mother, Dorothy Shalla of Coralville.
She was preceded in death by her father.
