Clifford J. “Biff” Aultman, 63, of 2131 Norcor Ave. Coralville and formerly of Glendale Heights, Illinois, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at Iowa City Rehabilitation & Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Aultman chose to be cremated. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Lensing’s Oakhill, 210 Holiday Road in Coralville with Rev. Judy Gingerich officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Iowa City. 1025 Wade Street, Iowa City, IA 52240.
Mr. Aultman was born September 11, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Clifford James and Miriam Marcy (Hood) Aultman. He was raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. On March 30, 1963 he was united in marriage to Barbara Cain. He earned his B.S. of Industrial Engineering degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He served in the Army Reserves from 1961- 1964. He was employed by Westinghouse Electric in Beaver, Pennsylvania, for 11 years and then worked for several years with Serta Mattress. He later was appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Chittenden & Eastman in Burlington, Iowa. Mr. Aultman later moved to Aventura, Florida, where he was Vice President & Sales Manager for Dixie Bedding in their King Koil division. Before becoming ill, he worked as a Sales & Marketing Consultant for Eastman House Furniture in Burlington, Iowa.
He has lived in Coralville since 2000.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of Coralville; four children, Dawn Haight and her husband Dave of Coralville, Jeff Aultman of Coralville, Debra Peplow and her husband Joe of Plainfield, Illinois, and John Aultman and his wife Carrie of Bartlett, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brandi & Mackenzie Haight, Quinn & Connor Peplow and Kelly Elizabeth Aultman; two brothers, John Aultman and his wife Mary Kay of Wilmington, North Carolina, and William Aultman of Valencia, Pennsylvania.
His parents preceded him in death.
