Thomas M. Voyce, 84 of 44 Highland Drive, Iowa City died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in Wichita, KS following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held at 6pm Friday, September 28, 2007, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. There will be a time of visitation after 5pm Friday until the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Thomas's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Thomas M. Voyce was born January 28, 1923, in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Charles and Ethel (Farrin) Voyce. During WWII he served in the United States Navy. Following his service he married J. Elizabeth "Betty" Lamb on November 25, 1950. The couple moved to the Iowa City area in 1962 where he worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital for many years before his retirement. Tom enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and fishing alongside of Betty.
His family includes his children, Jessica Voyce of Iowa City, Liz Moeller of Wichita, KS, Charles Voyce of Coralville; Tom Voyce and his wife, Nycki of Austin, TX, and Mary Anderson of Owasso, OK; 11 grandchildren; sister, Billie Curry of California; daughter-in-law, Kim Hixon of Cedar Rapids, sister-in-law, Jo Marshall of Clinton; and nephew, Pat Marshall of Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty; and three brothers, Charles, Donald, and Dale Voyce.
