WILLIAM M. PETERS, 78, OF SOLON, DIES AFTER THREE-WEEK ILLNESS
SOLON - William Michael Peters, 78, lifelong resident of this community, died Wednesday night at Mercy hopsital in Cedar Rapids, where he had been a patient for the last three weeks.Mr. Peters was born October 4, 1869, near Solon. He was a member of the Modern Woodman camp of that community.
He is survived by his widow, Freda Umbdenstock Peters; four daughters, Mary, at home; Mrs. Earl Bahmler, Iowa City, Louise and Irma of Chicago, and four sons, Laurance and Marcellus, Solon, William, Chicago and Cecil, Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Dr. J.A. Peters of Iowa City.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's church, Solon, with the Rev. Carl F. Clems officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Brosh funeral home.
