Mr. Timothy Dorr

November 26, 1948 - October 30, 2002

Timothy L. Dorr, 53, of 42 Greenview Dr., West Branch, died Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at the University of Iowa Hospital after a year long illness.

Funeral services will be Monday 10:30AM at United Methodist Church, West Branch, with the Rev. Scott Patrick officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00PM with the family present at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood, Iowa City. Memorials may be made to the Timothy L. Dorr memorial fund.

Tim was born November 26, 1948, in Cherokee, Iowa, the son of Eugene and Georgia (Campbell). He graduated from Iowa State University in 1971. On August 12, 1978, he was united in marriage to Gloria Graham. The couple was married in Quimby, Iowa.

Tim worked for over thirty years as a conservation officer for the State of Iowa. He loved everyday of his job. He loved the outdoors and the people that he met. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was a Hunter Education Instructor for over twenty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music with his friends, working on cars, talking and being a conversationalist to everyone he met. His favorite past time was spending time with his family.

Tim is survived by his wife, Gloria Dorr of West Branch, Iowa; two children, Eric G. Dorr and Katie Dorr both of West Branch, Iowa; his parents, Eugene and Georgia Dorr of Cherokee, Iowa; two sisters, Micky McNiel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Jackie Givens and her husband Kerry of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; mother-in-law, Jeanette Graham of Cherokee, Iowa, and by many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. He is also survived by four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Dennis, Larry, Gary, Steven and Linda Graham and their families.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his father-in-law, Robert Graham.
