Steven F. Eckrich, 58 of Cosgrove died March 12, 2007 after a brief illness in Sebring, Florida.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7:00 PM at Lensing Funeral Home & Cremation Services. With a vigil service at 6:30 PM. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2007 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Cosgrove, IA. Fr. Ed Dunn will be the offciant. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Goodwill Industries or St. Peters Church.

Steve was born January 7, 1949 the son of Frank J. and Marguerite (Graper) Eckrich. He was a graduate of Clear Creek Amana High School. He worked in sales for many years. He worked at Precesion Performance and later started his own business Steve Eckrich Motor Sports. Steve was an avid race car fan and enjoyed watching his nephews race.

He is survived by his mother, Marguerite Eckrich of Cosgrove, two brothers, Larry Eckrich and his wife Penny and James Eckrich all of Cosgrove, IA. He is also survived by four nephews; David Eckrich of Cosgrove, Ia, Dennis Eckrich of Tiffin, IA, Douglas Eckrich of Cosgrove, IA, Andrew Eckrich of Iowa City, IA and by one niece, Amanda Simpson and her husband Chris of Oxford, IA.

He is preceded in death by his father.
