Kathryn M. Schreiber, 80, of Iowa City, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Mercy Hospital following a short illness. A Memorial Service to celebrate Kathryn’s life will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, February 27th at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, where friends may call after 1pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with Iowa City Hospice.

Kathryn was born on September 7th, 1926, the daughter of Harry and Velma (Walters) Musser. On January 30th, 1946, Kathryn and Donald Schreiber were united in marriage in Lone Tree, IA. Kathryn was a lifelong Homemaker and she always enjoyed gardening, working on jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, Kathryn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Don of Iowa City, two sons Michael (Debra) Schreiber of West Liberty and their children Tera, Emily, Katelyn and Ethan, and Robert (Kathryn) Schreiber of Columbus Junction and their children Christine and Greg; three brothers Larry Musser of Iowa City, Richard (Marilyn) Musser of Solon and John (Jan) Musser of Riverside and one sister Dorothy Ambrose of Coralville. Kathryn also was the proud great-grandmother of Dylan and Jacob Schreiber. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Harold and Kenneth Musser and two sisters Evelyn Metz and Rita Havel.
