Gladys H. Richardson, age 90 of 4635 Herbert Hoover Hwy, SE, died Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at the Iowa City Nursing and Rehab Center following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Gay & Ciha Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery near Hills. Visitation will be from 12 noon on Saturday until services. A memorial fund has been established.

Gladys was born January 22, 1911 near Riverside in Johnson County, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Wombacher) Rummelhart. On November 20, 1934 she married Bob Richardson. Bob died on July 17, 1967. She had lived in California, Des Moines, and Iowa City, having resided the past eleven years at the care center.

Her family includes a brother, Leonard Rummelhart of Hills; twenty-two nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Jane Smith of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and four sisters.
