Mary Malecha Caddle age 66 of 529 Elkhorn Trail, Iowa City died at her home on Sunday, July 14, 2002. Funeral Services will on Saturday, July 20, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, burial will be in Oakland Cemetery also in Iowa City. Visitation will be on Friday from five to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association. The Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service are caring for Mary and her family.

Mary was born on March 26, 1936 in Faribolt, Mn the daughter of John and Mary Langer Malecha. She attended Faribault Schools and worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City in the fiscal department retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City and enjoyed birds and crossword puzzles.

Her family includes a daughter Cindy Caddle and fiancé Richard D. Brenneman: three grandchildren Chris, Chelsea and Cheyenne Caddle all of Kalona; brothers; Paul, Jerry, Larry and Eugene Malecha, sisters; Fran Helensmith, Connie Wetter and brother in-law Chester Hose all of the Faribault area.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Grace and sister in-law Ann.
