Ian H. Clark, age 58, of 2103 14th. Street, Coralville, died Thursday, August 22, 2002 at his home following a courageous and strong battle with cancer.

A gathering of family and friends with services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2002 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. His friend during his dying, the Chaplain Vitolds Valainis will lead in this remembrance. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Ian’s services and his family.

Ian was born March 12, 1944 in Lochgelly, Fife, Scotland, the son of Hugh and Janet (Howieson) Clark. He attended school in Scotland, and was a member of the Masons and the Moose Lodge there. Ian came to this area in 1997. He married Susan Campbell March 26, 1997 at the Danforth Chapel in Iowa City. His work in this area was in Decorative Wall Texturing and Sculpture Design, owning and operating I & S Interior Decorating. A profession that he has enjoyed for well over twenty years.

His family includes his wife, Sue; two children, Ian and Denise Clark both of Scotland; four grandchildren, Morgan, Keith, Ian, and Ashley all of Scotland; Sue’s children, Ryan Myers of Coralville, Erik Myers of San Antonio, and Jennifer and her husband, Chad Coon of Sac City; and their children, triplets: Lauren, Thomas, and Nicholas; Caitlyn and Megan; Ian’s brothers, Donald and Ian’s twin, Eric of Scotland; sisters, June and her husband, Peter Jebson of Iowa City; and Shelia of Scotland; former wife, Jane of Scotland, and very special friend, Tim Sanders of Tiffin.
