Daniel Bernard Alberhasky, 66 of Iowa City died, peacefully, surrounded by his family and friend at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, August 3, 2006

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Lensing Funeral Service with Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Visitation will on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Lensing’s-605 Kirkwood Ave. Iowa City, Iowa. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Daniel was born February 4, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Bernard J. and Katherine (Rogers) Alberhasky. He graduated from City High School. Dan served in the National Guard and later worked as a postal carrier for over thirty years retiring in 1991. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his friends. Dan will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his three sons and their families; Matthew Alberhasky and his wife Mary Anne of Washington, IA and their children, Doris and Joseph; Robert Alberhasky and his wife Cheryl of Lone Tree, IA and their children, Jimmy and Erik; Paul Alberhasky of Iowa City, IA and his children Amanda and Daniel; three brothers; Charles Alberhasky and his wife Mary Ellen, David Alberhasky, and Raymond Alberhasky and his wife Theresa all of Iowa City. Daniel is also survived by four great grandchildren.
