Delbert LEWIS, 50, died Tues., Nov. 3, 1970, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City of a sudden heart attack. He had farmed 3 mi. s.e. of Brighton and had been active in Washington County affairs. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington. Son of Perry and Helen GOEHRING LEWIS, born in Jefferson County near Libertyville May 27, 1920. He married Mildred MEYER Feb. 14, 1944, at the Bethel (Presbyterian) Church. He had served as a deacon of the church for six years... Active in Farm Bureau since moving to Washington County 25 years ago.

Surviving are widow, children, Mrs. Kenny (Connie) MEYER of Brighton and Duane and Sandra at home; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Helen LEWIS; and a sister, Mrs. Keith (Lillie) SMUTZ of Libertyville.
