Lorenzo R. HESTON, prominent local business man and civic leader, died suddenly this morning in the University Hospital at Iowa City. Heart attack. A partner in the firm of Heston & Anderson, manufacturers of wood working machines, one of Fairfield's leading industries. The factory was established in 1921. Prior to the founding of this business, Mr. HESTON was a draftsman at the Louden Machinery Co....

Born Mar. 30, 1893, on a farm near Cross Lanes, son of Absalom and Emma CARMAN HESTON. Educated in the Cross Lanes and Fairfield schools. In 1912 he was employed at the local C.B. & Q. freight house, and in 1913 went to the Louden Machinery Co., where he learned drafting.

Married Oct. 10, 1917, Miss Ruth LARSON, who survives; also three children: Emma Lou, John L., and Mary Jane all at home; his mother, Mrs. Emma HESTON, Fairfield; one brother, Albert of Portland, Ore.; a half-brother, W.E. HESTON, Fairfield; and two half-sisters, Mrs. May BRYAN, Independence, Kansas, and Mrs. Pearl SMITH, Benedict, Minn.. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
