Theodore Gilbert Specht, age 77, died at his home Sunday after suffering a heart attack after shoveling snow.

Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday at the First Federated Church in Oxford with burial in the Oxford Cemetery. Friends may call at the Oxford Chapel.

Mr. Specht was born September 24, 1893 in Jacksboro, Texas, the son of Frank and Annetta Bell Hamm Specht. He married Sadie Sommers December 30, 1941 in Iowa City. He was a life insurance agent in Oxford until his retirement in 1958. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Canopy Lodge #390, AF & AM, the American Legion and the Oxford Conservation Club.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters Mrs. James (Frankie) Honn of Marengo and Mrs. Leonard (Shirley) Frees of Oxford; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Rhea Bock of Wichita Falls, Texas and Mrs. Louise McFarland of Natalia, Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
