Iowa City Girl Terribly Bereaved, Through Death of Husband, L. P. Sheperd
Another terrible auto accident has brought sorrow to Iowa City relatives of the victim of the tragedy.
Lucius P. Shepard, a prominent stock broker of Claverack, NY, was killed at Atlantic City, N. J.
He was the husband of Pearl Bollei, granddaughter of Sam J. Gibson and wife of Iowa City, and daughter of Mrs. L. N. Brareton of Hudson, NY. -- who was formerly Mrs. Mae Gibson Bollei, wife of the late Charles Bollei of Iowa City.
John Bollei, of the Iowa City police, is the brother of the latter.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam J. Gibson will leave today for New York and will visit the stricken relatives at Claverack and elsewhere.
Friends of the stricken family will tender deep sympathy in their hour of great and stunning sorrow.
