19 Retiring
At UI to Be
Honored

Nineteen retiring University of Iowa faculty and alministrative [sic] staff members will be honored for their service at the annual Faculty Recognition Dinner Tuesday in the Ballroom of the Memorial Union.
The 6:30 p.m. dinner, a traditional event in which University departments pay tribute to retiring employes [sic], will be followed by a program during which special certificates of recognition will be presented.
Those to be honored are:
Gladys Bartholow, medical reference librarian; Harold H. Beams, professor of zoology; Lois Boulware, assistant director of Student Health; Herman M. Burian, professor of opthalmology; Edmund de Chasca, professor of Spanish; Elizabeth Englert, house manager at Quadrangle; Phil C. Englert, architectural engineer; Anneliese M. Funke, catalog librarian; Arnold Gillette, professor of Drama; and Frank Z. Glick, director of the School of Social Work.
Also, Paul E. Huston, director of the Psychiatric Hospital; Gladys Jenkins, lecturer in home economics; Richard L. Jenkins, professor of psychiatry; W. Wallace Maner, counselor for foreign students in the International Center; Oscar E. Nybakken, professor of classics; Helen Reich, associate dean of Student Development Center; Walter C. Thietje, assistant professor in the Natural History Museum; Franklin H. Top, Sr. head of the preventive medicine and environmental health department; and Nicholas E. Welter, assistant purchasing agent.
