made Man and Wife this Morning

At nine o'clock this morning, at St. Mary's church, the Rev. Father Schultz united in marriage Edward V. Ebert and Miss Rosa E. Strub. The wedding ceremony was witnessed by many friends of the bride and groom. Fred Hubner officiated as best man, and the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Agnes Strub, of Guttenberg, Iowa as bridesmaid.

Mr. and Mrs. Ebert need no introduction to the people of Iowa City, both are young people known to Iowa City people, who join with the parents in extending congratulations and best wishes.

The groom, "Ed" Ebert, as his friends hail him, is a member of the firm of Smith & Ebert, who conduct a barber shop on Clinton street. He is a young man who by industry and close attention to business, has not only made a success in business circles, but has gained many warm friends here.

The bride, Miss Rosa Strub, is one of Iowa City's best known and well liked young ladies. She has made her home of late years with her sister, Mrs. G.W. Schmidt, and has been a prominent figure in social and church circles. She is a sister of H.A. and Frank Strub, Mrs. G.W. Schmidt and Mrs. Chas. Hubner, all of this city.

After the ceremony, the bridal party went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Schmidt, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served at eleven o'clock in their honor. This afternoon from two to five o'clock a reception was tendered (at) the Monday Club, of which the bride is a member. From five to eight a supper will be given the many friends of the contracting parties, and from eight to ten a reception will be tendered (by) the friends and acquaintances of the newly married couple.

A number of out-of-town guests are in attendance at the wedding festivities today who unite with the friends here in extending congratulations. Many costly and elegant wedding presents were given to Mr. and Mrs. Ebert by the guests in attendance.

Mr. and Mrs. Ebert will make their future home in Iowa City where both have been associated in business and social circles for several years past.
