EDWARD CASEY MAY RECOVER

Johnson County Farmer Carried 300
Feet by Engine May Get Well

Special to the Times Republican
Iowa City, July 22-Edward Casey, the Johnson County framer, who was struck by a Rock Island passenger train, and carried 300 feet on a locomotive, may recover. His foot is crushed; one arm and shoulder are hurt; his head and face are cut, and he is otherwise injured, but he is making good headway. His escape from death is due to the fact that the train slackened at a nearby station, and had scarcely obtained even medium speed, when the collision came.
