Thank you so much for your reply. It is good to hear from relatives that are out there that share the same blood but have not yet met. Ronnie is my cousin.. His father and my mother are brother and sisters. Yes , aunt willie Gay is amazing still at 100 yrs old . My mother , who is a Bonnifield , passed away 3 yrs ago at 971/2 yrs. She was a tough one and a great Christian woman. I would love to keep up with the Bonnifield family and all that is going on there in Iowa also. I hope to one day come there to the city our Grandmother named. It is in our plans to do so soon. Any information that you have on a trip there would be so appreciated. We live in the panhandle of Texas so it will be a long journey but one we are looking forward too. So happy that the Cabin stands today. It is amazing and the history there is amazing also. Wish my mother could have made that trip before she past but it was too much for her in latter years. Ron shared with her all he had learned about the cabin and history . She loved hearing the stories and longed to come there. Her mind was as good when she past as it was at 16. She could quote poetry she had memorized from high school and these were not short poems or stories. Her mind was amazing to her death. She was very sharp and smart woman.
I would love to have the book you mentioned that you put together of your family. It would be awesome to read it. I will give you my address to send it too. Thank you so much. We are still having Bonnifields here.. I have 18 grandchildren and 10 great grands. I love to share the history we have in this side of the family. Thank you for your kind response . Anything you have to share would be so appreciated. Keep me informed of events and news please. God bless you for all you have done and are doing to keep this history alive. Thank you..
