Looking for 4th great-grandfather

I am looking for what happen to my 4th great-grandfather John Vannatta b. abt. 1814 in Germany. He married Abigail Olmstead in Michgian and a daughter named Esther Vannatta 1837-1917. They divorced I suppose and Abigail got married to Jeremiah holly and had a son named Byron Holly.

Well Esther married twice: Joseph bean and had some children then he took off even though document she's a widow and married Noah Wright. Esther died in Iowa and I think her father died there in the state too.
