Trail gone cold

I am looking for any information regarding Israel & Margaret Mulnix. In the 1856 census the last name was Melinix and they lived in Lockridge Township. They are listed again in 1870 & 1880 Federal census for Jefferson County - Fairfield. Total they had 8 children but after the 1880 census I find no record of any of them. Israel's son Joseph Armstrong Mulinix married Dicy Adkins and lived in the Fairfield area. Wondering if Israel died some time after 1880? Did they move from Jefferson County? Any information anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.
