hello Joey or whoever this may concern... i just discovered that my family church burned in 2010.... new sweden methodist church. I live in the Nashville area and was privileged to visit the church in 2009, tho I could not go inside as it was locked. I had planned to bring my sister there on my next trip up... I was shocked to see our old steadfast building gone. how very very sad. I may have some family records worth donating and I will check around and also ask family members if I may let them go. I did not know how to contact Diane Brokken to chat, if you can share that contact information i would appreciate it. she seemed very attached to the building and our history no doubt. My grandfather about five generations back was Peter Cassel, from Kisa, Sweden and brought all of the swedes over settling there, the first swedish settlement west of the Mississippi River.
