Ada does not have a Jefferson county, Iowa birth record - it doesn't necessarily mean that she wasn't born here as not all births were reported/recorded.

The only Carpenter births that are relevant are for two of her siblings:

> Elsie Viola Carpenter born January 8, 1893
> Simon A. Carpenter born May 9, 1901.

The question of whether or not Ada was born in/near Coalport here in Jefferson county remains open-ended, but possible.
