As corresp secy for Jefferson Co Iowa Genie Soc I can tell you the following: Death records did not start in Iowa until July 4, l880. So that is a dead end. I wondered if they were a coal mining family. There are no Rickroad graves in the 79 cemeteries in our county. There was one cemetery near village of Perlee which was a coal mining vicinity .... it was plowed up by a farmer so many years ago and only 3 gravemarkers survived
