i am in savannah georgia i have been looking up the name james beck because when i was alot younger i was given a sword with the name col. james beck on the blade it is a knights of the pythias sword everything that i seem to find on line points to your town if i am right i hope to be able to contact the family and maybe one day return the sword to them but i cannot seem to find any records of who he may be related to there not sure how large your town is but maybe something could be posted on your end

ps. the sword was pat.in 1884 and i believe was given to MR.Beck soon after i found records of him becoming grand master of arms in 1899 in sioux falls.
