Hi Jefferson Genies,
Do you have any records in your family archives re: my Pope Family? Specifically Benjamin Pope (born abt 1770) and/or his son, William Johnson Pope (born abt 1812) and Wm's wife Dorcas Lathers Pope. This family of Popes were in Jefferson Co. between 1844-1880.

Also, do you have any information regarding the Jefferson Co. residents who left for the California gold rush in 1849 when my GG Grandfather William Johnson Pope left?
I'd appreciate any bits of info that you are able share with me.
