In Response To: Parsons - Maharishi University (Joseph Weber)

Will try to answer your question. I was the
corresp. secy for Jeff Co Gen. Society for 33
years.

1. Contacted two former professors of Parsons
College still living in town. They both told me
the same thing...Parsons last grad was 2 Jun l973
and the campus grew up in tall weeds for two yrs
and looked terrible. Neither could tell me the
purchase date, but both felt it was in l975

2. In Fairfield Library historical clipping
drawer found it did not solve your problem.

3. Went to the Assessors office at the courthouse
only the only employee there got stuck as
Assessor herself was out of the office.

4. Went a block down the street to the Abstract
Office and he came up with the following:
This is just as he wrote on his yellow post it
note:
Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Co

to:
Maharashi International Academy....9 Sept l975
-----
Maharishi International Accademy

to:
Maharishi International University...9 Sep l975

(he pointed out it was the very same date)

I cannot tell you when it became Maharishi
University of Management. I encourage you to
read all you can about it on the internet, also
about the RAJ health center here in Fairfield.
Not sure you will find anything about the 900
Indian Pandits, behind a chain link fence, speak
no English, do not get off the l60 acre farm where they are confined. (this was all on the Oprah program filmed in Oct last year, aired this spring on TV )The pandits brought TB to our area
Will add meditators tore down most of the buildings on campus because there are bad vibes if they face south. The Barhydt Presby. Chapel was among those torn down and it absolutely was devistating to the Fairfield townfolk. I will not go into many, many more details at this time. Verda Baird
