Hi Betty:

Just the old county snoop that came up with the name of the book you need for militia l856-l873

IOWA VOLUNTEER MILITIA 1856 - 1873 by Blevins

A copy would be in the State Historical Library in Des Moines Iowa. also in State Historical Society 402 Iowa Avenue Iowa City Iowa.
We did not purchase it for our Fairfield Library.
