Hi, I wish I could tell you when John Clark died. Sometime between 1878 and 1880 probably in Lee County, Iowa. His daughter with Sarah Ann Wilson Coder Clark was born about 1878 and Sarah is shown as a widow with Alice and Clara in the 1880 census in Cedar, Lee, Iowa.
Sarah Ann Wilson's parents are Henry M. Wilson and Sarah Pitman. They were North Carolina Quakers who moved into Lee County, Iowa sometime between 1840 and 1850. Sarah Pitman died sometime between 1836 abd 1850. I can't find a death record for her. Henry M. Wilson died 16 Nov 1866 and is buried in the Old Quaker Cemetery, in Salem, Henry, Iowa.
John Clark b. 11 Oct 1820 in Stonelick, Cermont, Ohio, was married before to Jemma Sapp b. 1816 in Kentucky. They had the following children: Isaiah b. 1847, Elizabeth b. 1849, John, b. 1851, Mary J. b. 1853 and George Edmond b. 1855.
Jemma died 1862 probably in Cedar, Lee, Iowa.
Sarah Wilson Coder married John Clark 5 Dec 1867 in Lee county, Iowa.
I wish I knew were both John Clark and Sarah died.
Thanks for your help.
Sally
