Keep in mind that only about 15% of deaths and also births were recorded prior to 4 July l907 in the local courthouses in Iowa. That was a fact
I learned at an area genealogy meeting 20 yrs.ago

Jefferson County has very few from l900 to l907 when the new law went into effect. Do not waste $l5.00 writing to the State of Iowa Vital Statistics dept. as they do not have them, but will keep your funds. Grrrr.

I want you to also keep in mind Henry County Iowa
in case she might have had mental problems and died at the Mental Health Institute in Mt. Pleasant Ia. Good luck researching.
