I have not found anything for this Penwell family for any cemetery records or burials in Jefferson County. It might be good to post the query in the Van Buren county Query section as Birmingham is more in their jurisdiction. I didn't see anything in the Birmingham area cemetery records, but perhaps someone nearby could look in the Van Buren County records at the courthouse in Keosauqua. Death records were generally not kept until 1880, so if this Penwell family has not been located and listed by now in cemetery listings the odds are not good that their burial was recorded.
