I found your name on genweb for Fairfield County Iowa and wanted to inquire if you might be able to help me with a look up request.

I am looking for information on a Clarence C. Whennen. His obit states he was born October 27, 1898 and died Oct 27, 1994. It also states he was born in Fairfield to William and Gertrude Whennen.

I was wanting to be able to confirm the birth date for Clarence C Whennen. There is a "small" family rumor he may have been adopted and was hoping to find a certification of birth to prove or disprove this thought.

Also, do you know if any adoption records may be open to the public in Fairfield County? Any help you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated.
