I am trying to find the maiden name of one of my ancestors who was the first wife of Robert Osborn. James Osborn and his family moved to Black Hawk Township in about 1837. His son Robert was born in 1833 in Illinois. The 1870 Federal census shows Robert (spelled Robard there) and his family living in Polk Township where his father deeded him 40 acres in 1868. His wife's name is Jane. I am searching for her maiden name. Since the oldest child in the 1870 census is 7 years old, I would assume the marriage took place about 1863. Thank you.
