GREGORY, KINZER, STOCKMAN

I've been looking for a death record or obit for Henry Kinzer for years... I sent off for a death record
from the state of Iowa and they couldn't find any record.

He was listed in Keokuk county for many
years 1850, 1860, 1870, & 1880 census. He raised his children on land in sec. 36 just southeast of Richland, Iowa.

The 1895 Iowa census shows Henry Kinzer, age 88, race white, birthplace Virginia, with residence
Blackhawk , Jefferson county. so he could have been living with his daughter, Massie Gregory at
the time of his death. Massie or Massa was married to William Gregory. They lived in Blackhawk
twnshp also. Is there a death record for Henry Kinzer in Jefferson county but not the state? and was his
obit published in Jefferson county and not in Keokuk county? He died 22 July 1896 and was buried
in Friends cemetery at Richland. His estate was probated in Keokuk county because that is where the family farm was located. J.C. Stockman was the executor. Four adult children were still living at the time of Henry's death. Hezekiah Kinzer, Massie Gregory, Adam Kinzer and William H. Kinzer. My greatgrandfather was
Hezekiah. Hezekiah and Rebecca Kinzer lived also in Blackhawk twnshp in 1870 & 1880. Their children
were John H., Bessie, Alice and Ella. Ella is my grandmother. I know nothing about Alice. Did she die
in Jefferson county? Hezekiah went to Alaska and was there from abt. 1898 until 1914 when he came back to
where Rebecca was living in Durango, Colorado. He died there on 24 Feb 1914. He was a civil war veteran.
I will keep searching. on my Kinzer family.

Massie Kinzer Gregory died on 27 April 1922 and she was living in Richland at the time of her death. She is buried in the Methodist cemetery at Richland as is William Gregory. The informant on her death certificate is G.L. Hobson, a grandson. (George Lee Hobson, a son of Oscar Hobson and Vena Eldora (Dora) Gregory). Oscar and Dora had two sons, Gregory and George Lee Hobson.
.
I am also looking for Mary Emma Gregory. She married James Seaton and they lived at Richland
in 1900. Velma Baird found a divorce record for her. I do not know if she remarried.

I will pay for research that would help me get more information about the Kinzer and Gregory families.

Please advise me of the cost.. Thanks again..
