Hello from Fairfield, Jefferson County Iowa where your query appeared. I sat at a meeting over l0 yrs
ago and heard a speaker tell that less than l5% of births were recorded in Iowa prior to l907. Keep in mind many times a doctor was not present.

Other places to find her parents names:
If married in Iowa, after July l880 the names of the parents appear in the marriage registers.

If living in Iowa in l925 census, that tells the names of the parents also. The l925 is a special Iowa census....NOT federal.
