Richard Irwin Naturalzation Record

IRWIN

I believe my ggggrandfather Richard Irwin has a naturalization record in Jefferson County, Iowa. He began naturalization in New York, completed the 2nd part in Iowa, and was finalized (I think) in Oregon where he settled in 1850-51.

He is listed as a dealer in dry goods etc., in the 1846 Fairfield Directory.

HIs Donation Land Claim in Oregon Territory lists Fairfield, Iowa as his residence in 1840s.

Is this enough info to look for his records, which I was told were kept in the County Courthouse?

If not, I can probably find more details if I unpack some old notebooks!

Thanks for any reply.
