Isaac Nelson Williams 1865 Probate box 59??

WILLIAMS

I am doing some research on Isaac Nelson Williams. He served in the Civil War. On his return to Brookville, he was in a fight over some business and was killed on October 22, 1865. I do have the news article regarding his death and a follow up clarifying article. I do have a copy of the Probate Court Journal naming Nelson D. Williams the administrator of his will. I think Nelson was his brother.

Since we are still not sure of his parents, I am looking for other items that may yield some clues. Could you please look him up in the Deaths Coroner’s Docket, Probate Index, Wills Index and Newspaper Legal Notices? Most of the other available records seem to start after his death date.

Any help is appreciated. If you can lead me to records that exist at the county level or at the Iowa Historical Society, I would be most appreciative.

**Probate index does have a J.N.. Williams 1865 box 59 which actually could be Isaac Williams.
