In looking through my Jefferson County books, I found the ARNAL to be an ARNOLD BONNIFIELD. He bought 160 acres of land on January 07, 1839. This was in Cedar TWP.Other BONNIFIELD land records are:
Gregory, *RHODAM ,SAMUEL, and William.

Arnold was born 1811 and died 1839 burial: BONNIFIELD CEMETERY Lockridge TWP Jefferson County Iowa.

Rhodam BONNIFIELD b:1788 died 1840.
Nancy (MRS RHODAM) nee MINEAR b:1793 died 1840.
Sulifad Rhodam Bonnifield b: 1842 died 1846.

Newspaper has ARNAL BONNIFIELD as deceased and sale of his land was August 21, 1847.

*Rhodam and NANCY were probably the parents of Arnold.
