Mary O'Donnell Montgomery Phillips died from complications of childbirth. She was not murdered as stated before. First marriage was to Patrick Montgomery of whom she had 8 children and was later divorced. I wonder if all the children were adopted out? That would be a total of nine children.That would certainly be hard for her widower to raise all on his own. I believe Joseph H. Sr. did what was best for the children.
