I believe their daughter, Martha, was a Mrs. Jones? And their other daughter, Ann, was a Mrs. Bane.

(page 82) Mary Parks, female, born 10 August 1901 in Ottumwa to Jefferson Parks and Clara Richards.

(a) I tried to post a newspaper five-generation picture that included Mary Parks Bivens, but it seems not working on this board, unfortunately! But anyway there is a caption next to the newspaper picture (which I found in a scrapbook type of book at Wapello Co. Genealogical Society in Ottumwa). The caption goes like this: "Five Generations. Mrs. Mary Bivins, lower right, is pictured with four of her direct descendants. The Ottumwans have returned from a visit with her at Arkansas City, Kan., where the picture was taken. Mrs. Bivins was married in Ottumwa and lived here until moving to Arkansas City in 1923. She will be 90 years old November 6, and has seven living children. Standing from left to right are Mrs. C.B. Belger and her mother, Mrs. Edna Swearingen, a daughter of Mrs. Bivins. Seated at left is Mrs. Belger's daughter, Mrs. Jerry Zwer, and her five-month-old daughter, Cheri Lynette Zwer. While in Arkansas City, the Ottumwans were guests of another daughter of Mrs. Bivins, Mrs. T. M. Halliburton, and her husband. Zwer is in the navy stationed at Norfolk. Mrs. Zwer and Cheri Lynette and Mrs. Swearingen make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Belger at 410 Appanoose Street (in Ottumwa).

****Floyd Bivins****
Floyd Bivins, 80, of Amarillo, Tex., and a former Ottumwan, died Tuesday in Amarillo.
He was a retired barber and lived in Ottumwa prior to leaving in 1920.
Survivors are one son in Denver; one grandchild; two brothers in Amarillo, one in Denver; three sisters, one in Hot Springs, Ark., one in Arkansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Harry Nelson of Ottumwa. Burial will be in Amarillo.
(d) This is an Ottumwa newspaper obituary dated in September 1976, regarding another son of Lewis T. and Mary Parks Bivens.
****Earl E. Bivens****
Earl E. Bivens, 84, died Thursday in a hospital in Amarillo, Tex.
He was born in Bloomfield (Iowa) in 1892, the son of Lewis T. and Mary E. Parks Bivens. He lived in Ottumwa from 1915 to 1922 and was employed at the Julius Fetch Cigar Factory. He later moved to Arkansas City, Kan., where he did maintenance work for schools and colleges. He later moved to Amarillo, Tex. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby L. Mimms Bivens, in 1963 and by one brother.
Surviving are two brothers, Silas Zell Bivens of Amarillo and Orville Bivens of Denver; and three sisters, Verna Protter of Hot Springs, Ark., Cecil Halliburton of Arkansas City, Kan., and Edna E. Nelson of Ottumwa. The funeral and burial were held today in Amarillo.
(e) As far as I know from records, this is the list of children of Lewis T. and Mary E. Parks Bivens.

She has one known daughter, Mrs. C. B. Belger; one known granddaughter, Mrs. Jerry Zwer; and one great-granddaughter, Cheri Lynette Zwer.
(2) Cecil Bivens (b. ?). She married T.M. Halliburton of Arkansas City, Kansas.
(3) Floyd Bivens (b. ca. 1895) Died in Amarillo, Texas, on or around December 26, 1975.
(4) Earl E. Bivens (b. in Bloomfield, Davis Co., Iowa, in 1892. Died in a hospital in Armarillo, Texas, around September 3rd, 1976. Married Ruby L. Mimms (who d. in 1963).
(5) Silas Zell Bivens of Armarillo, Texas.
(6) Orville Bivens of Denver, Colorado.
(7) Verna (Bivens) Potter of Hot Springs, Arkansas.*Information on Silas Denver Parks (or Denver Silas Parks), youngest child of Silas and Nancy Ann Coop Parks.....
Known List of children of Silas Denver Parks:
(a) Cashius "Cass" Parks (b. 1st March 1924 in Wapello Co., IA; d. 10 February 1974 at Jefferson Co. Hospital in Fairfield, Iowa; and burial at Union Cemetery, east of Fairfield). He married Bette J. Pruden on October 20, 1943.
He had one son, Cass D. Parks of Des Moines, and one daughter, Diana S. Parks of Lockridge, Jefferson Co., Iowa.
(b) Zenith Parks (who married Mr. Snook and lived in Floris, Davis Co., Iowa).
(c) Frances Parks of Ottumwa
(d) Lillian Parks of Ottumwa (who m. _______ Barber)

*******Denver S. Parks********
Denver S. Parks, 70, died at his home in Meadowdale addition at 7:24 p.m. Friday (either on or around August 30, 1947).
He was the son of Silas and Nancy Parks, born in Jefferson County May 24, 1877. He moved to Wapello County as a child and had lived in this county ever since.
Surviving are his wife, Clara, two sons, Leroy of Ottumwa and Cashius B. Parks, in the Untied States army; a daughter, Mrs. Lee Snook of Eldon; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary E. Bivens of Arkansas City, Kan., and a nephew, Harry J. Parks of Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, in charge of the Rev. W.B. Friend of the Pentecoastal church. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Lockridge---Cashius (Cass) Parks, 49, died Sunday at 9:50 p.m. at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield. He had been in ill health several years and in serious condition three days.
He was born March 1st, 1924, in Wapello County, to Denver and Rosia Pearson Parks. On Oct. 20, 1943, he married Bette J. Pruden. He lived in Jefferson County 24 years and was in submarine service in the Navy during World War II. Later, he was a trucker and farmer.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Cass D. Parks of Des Moines; one daughter, Diana S. Parks, of Lockridge; three sisters, Zenith Snook of Floris and Frances Parks and Lillian Barber, both of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Arrangements are pending at Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Fairfield----The service for Cashius (Cass) Parks, 49, who died Sunday, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Weston Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ned Gillum, officating. Burial with military rites will be in Union Cemetery, east of Fairfield.
