Page 1, Column 3Obit. Eva WALKER, daughter of Susan and the late Michael WALKER, born near Cross Lanes, Jefferson County, Iowa, Sept. 27, 1887. Her entire life was lived in this county, with the exception of three years' residence with her parents in Nebr., during which time her father was called by death.
She and George Fredrick WALKER were married July 17, 1904. Four children, Mildred, Harold Winfield, Venus Marguerite, and Susan Lena. Little Harold died in infancy. Member Batavia Christian Ch.
Her sickness was of short duration... died July 14, 1917, at 5 p.m. Her father died July 11, 1891, (at Holdrege, Nebr., buried Abingdon, Iowa) leaving a family of three little girls, like the three little ones she now leaves. Under an kind beneficent Providence, Eva and her sisters grew to womanhood, married and were settled in pleasant and comfortable homes of their own, and their mother still living nearby...
Funeral at Batavia Christian Church 2 p.m. Mon., July 16, 1917, conducted by Elder B. W. Pettit of Albia, assisted by Elders Cyrus Edwards and John Brown..... Body laid to rest in the cemetery near the church.
