BATAVIA. John E. SWAIM, 55, Batavia farmer, died today at Jefferson Co. Hospital, Fairfield. Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon. Burial will be in Batavia Cem. Resided two miles east of Batavia.

Born Feb. 9, 1914, at Floris, son of Earl and Edith BLANCHARD SWAIM. Member Bladensburg Christian Church. Married April 13, 1935, Mavern KLICKER, who survives.

Also survived by two sons, Larry of Fairfield and Jack of Sidney, Neb., and three grandchildren; six brothers and four sisters: Doy and Floyd of Floris; Gayle of Ottumwa; Harold of Eldon; Donald, Garland, Tex.; Dale of Geneseo, Ill.; Mrs. Gladys LANMAN, Floris; Mrs. Hazel WEISS, Bloomfield; Mrs. Doris ERICKSON and Mrs. Ruth CASIL, both of Moline, Ill. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
