Obit. James Armstrong STEWART, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. STEWART, was born near Batavia, Iowa, Nov. 21, 1861, died at his late home in Libertyville, Iowa, Mar. 7, 1935, age 73-3-16...

Jan. 7, 1886, married Elilian Dorothy PEEBLER; four daughters, two of whom, Mrs. Clifford HESTON and Orminda M., preceded their father in death.

Almost his entire life was spent in the work of the farm and on farms in Des Moines Township. In 1914 he retired to a home in Libertyville, where he had since resided. Mrs. STEWART died June 5, 1925, and on June 10, 1926, he married Mrs. Mattie GATLIN. Member Presbyterian Church in Libertyville.

Leaves wife, two daughters, Mrs. Elsie FRY of Fairfield, and Mrs. Leona SCHWARTZ of Perlee, Iowa. Also the children of Mrs. STEWART: Ross V., Wayne W., and Charles A., all of Duluth, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Faye DAVIS of Ottumwa; also two brothers, Harry STEWART of Wichita, Kan.; I. C. STEWART of Eldon; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes GOFF, Chillicothe, Iowa; Mrs. Emma BOWERS, Libertyville, Iowa; Mrs. Lizzie STULL, Batavia, Iowa; and Mrs. Minnie PUMPHREY.... bur. Fell Cemetery.
