DEATH OF HAYES STEWART. At the family home in Des Moines Township, March 22, 1896, occurred the death of David Hayes STEWART, and old citizen and an esteemed member and elder in the Presbyterian Church.

Born in Adams Co., Penn., April 22, 1826; came to Miami Co., Ohio, with his parents in 1834; to Knoxville, Ill., in 1857, and to Iowa, near Batavia, in 1860. He was married in 1861 to Miss Jane A. ARMSTRONG of Knoxville, Ill., who, with their seven children, surives him.

All the children were present at the funeral on the 24th -- ARMSTRONG and CAMPBELL with their families; Harry, from Mo.; Mrs. Frank PUMPHREY, Mrs. Ervin BOWER, Mrs. John STULL, and Miss Agnes...
