Randolph SNIDER, son of William and Suzanne HITE SNIDER, was born at Brookville Aug. 9, 1861, died at Fairfield, Iowa, 3 p.m. July 14, 1936, age 74-11-5.

He came from the old pioneer family having had eight brothers and two sisters. His father, mother, five brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Grew to manhood at Brookville and married Virginia HUPP Sept. 23, 1891, two daughters, Glencora and Marie. Spent entire life in Batavia and Brookville communities. For over 40 years he operated a threshing machine and various machines for the famers throughout the community.

Wife died Feb. 22, 1902; daughter Glencora WALKER on Apr. 14, 1929, and a grandson Rudolph WALKER Aug. 7, 1928. Survived by his younger daughter Mrs. Marie KINGREY of Batavia, four grandchildren, Paul, Opal, Mirlin and Ruby KINGREY all of Batavia. Two brothers, James SNIDER of Downing, Calif. and Jake SNIDER of Antelope, Calif., also one sister, Mrs. Mary KOONTZ of Memphis, Mo.....
