Susan MARTIN SKIRVIN, born Feb. 1, 1836 (in Ky.), died Feb. 5, 1916, at home of son Charles north of Batavia age 80 y. 4 d.; married Henderson SKIRVIN Aug. 28, 1856.

Nine children, four with the husband have preceded her in death, Monroe, Ida May, Sarah Etta, and Elmer Henderson SKIRVIN. Living are Geo. Walter, Charles Edwin, Rawley Byron, Florence Emily, and James Albert; 18 grandchildren, and 8 grgrchn; a brother Henry MARTIN of Marshalltown, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah LANNING of Ottumwa and Elizabeth BENNETT of Sandyville. Member Church of Christ. Bladensburg Cemetery.
