OTTUMWA. Veva L. DALIN, 80, Ottumwa, died thurs. in St. Joseph Hospital, Ottumwa. She was a sister of Mrs. Ava HARTMAN, Fairfield, and Mrs. Wilda YOUNG, Oklahoma City, Okla. Had been a resident of Ottumwa since 1908 and was employed as a civic newcomer hostess for 15 years.

Born June 9, 1890, in Batavia, daughter of William and Nora Jane CLARK SHOEMAKER. Married Carl DALIN in 1914 in Ottumwa; he died 1941. Survived by one daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren, one grgrchild and two sisters. Funeral services pending at Jay Funeral Home in Ottumwa.
