Mrs. PEEBLER, Batavia, Dies

BATAVIA, Ia. Mrs. Bernard PEEBLER, 55, lifetime resident of the Batavia area, died Monday at 2:05 p.m. at Jefferson County Hospital. She entered the hospital Sunday.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Batavia Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Dale Ellsworth. Burial will be in Batavia cemetery. The body is at the Campbell Funeral chapel.

Mrs. PEEBLER was the former Ruth ACTON. She was born Jan. 26, 1908, in Wapello county, the daughter of Frank and Mamie FOSTER ACTON. She was married to Bernard PEEBLER June 6, 1933. They made their home on a farm three miles southeast of Batavia.

Mrs. PEEBLER is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Daniel ROTH, Ottumwa; and Mrs. Richard PULLUM, Corpus Christi, Tex. Also surviving are four grandchildren; her step-mother, Mrs. Kate ACTON, Batavia; and the following step-sisters and step-brothers: Mrs. Ferne HILL, Batavia; Mrs. Grace GOBLE, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Frances HITE, Batavia; Keith PARKER, Libertyville; and Clifford PARKER, Batavia. One brother and one stepbrother are deceased. A memorial fund for Mrs. PEEBLER has been established at the Batavia Methodist church.
