BATAVIA. Ross L. PARRETT, 88, lifelong resident of the Batavia community, died Sun. 10 a.m. at Jefferson County Hospital. Campbell Funeral Chapel. Burial in Batavia Cemetery.

Born May 6, 1881, son of Edward and Laura CAMPBELL PARRETT; had always lived in the same community three miles east of Batavia. Member Batavia Methodist Church; Kilwinning Lodge No. 198, AF & AM of Batavia. For many years active in the Jefferson County Mutual Insurance Company and the Batavia Telephone Company.

Married Emma NEHRE Sept. 4, 1912. Survivors include wife, two sons, Donald of Eldon, and Kenneth, Batavia; one daughter Mrs. Margaret BLIESE, Kearney, Neb., four grandchildren and two grgrchn; one brother Roy PARRETT, Ocala, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel McNIEL, Agency, and Mrs. Amy McNIEL, Wesley Acres, Des Moines.
